Operations consulting in Charlotte, NC
Pharos Lumen is an operations and process improvement consultancy based in Charlotte, North Carolina. We find what slows companies down, put a number on it, and fix it, and for companies in the Charlotte area we do that work in person as well as remotely.
Who it is for
Operations and finance leaders at Charlotte-area companies, in the industries that shape the region:
- Banking and fintech back offices: reporting, reconciliation and controls work.
- Healthcare: scheduling, intake and billing handoffs.
- Logistics and distribution: orders re-keyed between systems and status nobody can see.
- Manufacturing: planning, inventory and reporting held together by spreadsheets.
- Energy: field and back-office processes that run on manual steps.
What we do
- Operations audit: find what inefficient processes cost, with a dollar figure on each finding.
- Independent software selection and implementation: commission-free, from requirements to adoption.
- Custom build: the missing piece, when nothing off the shelf fits.
- AI readiness for operations: fix the process first, then put AI where it pays off.
In person in Charlotte
Most of an engagement can run remotely, and we work with companies well beyond Charlotte that way. For Charlotte-area clients we also come on site: to sit with the people who do the work, run workshops, and train teams in the room. Every engagement is led personally by the Founder, Gabriel.
Areas we serve
Charlotte and Mecklenburg County, including Uptown, South End, SouthPark and Ballantyne, plus Huntersville, Matthews, Concord, Mooresville, Gastonia and Rock Hill, SC.
How an engagement runs
- Discover. We sit with your team, on site or by video, and write down how the work really runs and what it costs today.
- Select. We weigh the fixes independently, including whether to buy, build or change nothing. You make the call.
- Implement. We set up the tool, build the missing piece or change the process, and test it against the real work.
- Adopt and hand off. We train your people, in the room when that helps, and hand over the documentation and the keys.
How pricing works
You know what you will pay before any work starts. These are the only points where we charge:
- The first conversation is free. A 30-minute call to see whether we can help and where to start. No obligation.
- Most engagements start with the Operations Audit. The fee is agreed in writing before work starts, based on how much of the business is in scope. A reporting dashboard can start on its own.
- Every fix is priced in writing before it begins. A longer engagement carries one monthly fee for an agreed term.
- Nothing else. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice, no vendor commissions. Everything delivered is yours to keep.
Delivered remotely, with on-site visits when useful.
