AI readiness for operations
We find which of your workflows are actually ready for AI, fix the process first, and then put AI only where it pays off, with guardrails and people kept in charge. It is for companies being told to use AI that want a clear, defensible plan instead of a pile of tools.
Who it is for
- Leadership teams under pressure to use AI with no framework for where it fits.
- Companies that rolled out AI tools and now worry about what data goes into them.
- Operations leaders who want AI built into the work, not bolted on beside it.
Fix the process first
AI laid over a broken process makes the mistakes faster. So the first job is to see how the work really runs, remove the steps that should not exist, and only then decide where AI earns its place. Because we sell no AI product, when AI is not the right fix, we say so.
What happens, step by step
- Work audit. We sit with the people who do the work and map how it really runs: every step, every exception, every workaround. Not the clean version in the process document, the real one.
- Intelligence placement. With the real workflow in front of us, we decide in writing which steps stay ordinary software, which steps AI takes on, and which decisions keep a human in charge. You see the reasoning before anything is built.
- Measured deployment. We roll it out and measure it the way you run the business: hours saved, cost saved, risk reduced. A placement that does not pay for itself comes out.
What you get
- An AI readiness map: what to pursue first, what to wait on, and what to avoid.
- A safe-use policy: plain rules for what data can and cannot go into AI tools, written to recognized standards your auditors can review.
- Training your team actually follows, with verification steps so people check an AI's output before relying on it.
- AI built into the tools you already use, where the placement says it belongs, with people keeping review and final say.
How pricing works
You know what you will pay before any work starts. These are the only points where we charge:
- The first conversation is free. A 30-minute call to see whether we can help and where to start. No obligation.
- Most engagements start with the Operations Audit. The fee is agreed in writing before work starts, based on how much of the business is in scope. A reporting dashboard can start on its own.
- Every fix is priced in writing before it begins. A longer engagement carries one monthly fee for an agreed term.
- Nothing else. No hourly meter, no surprise invoice, no vendor commissions. Everything delivered is yours to keep.
Delivered remotely, with on-site visits when useful.
Proof
Delivered by our Founder inside a large enterprise, before Pharos Lumen: an enablement program for a finance workforce with no prior generative AI experience reached about 70% adoption, inside a tightly controlled environment, with verification steps built into every procedure. Read the case study.
In the same setting, a leadership team under AI pressure from every direction got a written AI readiness map in a single afternoon: two projects to pursue first, and three to avoid entirely.
Questions
Where do we start with AI?
Not with a tool. We map which of your workflows are ready for AI and which are not, so you get a clear plan: what to pursue first, and what to avoid.
What should we fix before automating?
The process itself. Remove steps that should not exist, settle who owns each decision, and make sure the data the AI will use is right. Then automate.
How do you keep AI from creating data risk?
Guardrails first: tools that fit without creating data risk, rules that keep sensitive information from leaking, and training on what can and cannot go into an AI tool.
Do you build AI systems or just advise?
Both. We deliver the readiness map, the policy and the training, and we build AI into the work when the placement calls for it.
What if AI is not the right answer?
We tell you. We earn nothing from AI products, so a simpler fix is a perfectly good recommendation.
